Still Look Pretty

SO, I'm really late, but I just watched Love & Hip Hop and OH MY GOD. WTF!!! Lol. SO, Jim Jones loses his ring, Chrissy still has NO ring, his momma makes a diss track, Olivia's career still ain't pop off, but Chrissy did on Kimbella, Juelz baby momma because Kimbella used to mess with Fab while Emily, who just left him, was pregnant. (TAKES A BREATH)

That was a lot to take in lol.

On Chrissy & Jim :
I feel for Chrissy, she's held that man down for some years & feel she deserves a ring & I completely agree. It already took courage to propose to this man & then for him to lose his ring, oh boy lol. Jimmy get it together MARRY THE GIRL.

On Kimbella & Emily

Kimbella should have definitely pulled Emily to the side to break that sort of news to her, Emily must have felt the need to put on this front as if she was strong but that type of news is very hurtful! But congrats to Emily for moving out!!

on Kimbella & Chrissy
Now, I don't think Kimbella should have opened her mouth but I also don't think Chrissy should have hurt homegirl lol. Interesting to see what's gonna happen between these too

Can't wait to watch next week~

Totally Ashamed.

I haven't been posting very much & I am really ashamed. LOL
Much hasn't changed, still the same ol' routine : WORK, SCHOOL, HOUSEWORK. However, I've been managing pretty well I must say.  Mid term grades came & passed (3 A's and 2 C's) and I'm slowly approaching Finals.  (Picking up those C's) , As for work? I'll just leave it at that.. lol. . .

We Found Love.

The video for "We Found Love" was released & I must say it is the reason I live now. Okay, maybe not, but you catch my drift. The Video is AMAZING. I love it.
There is however, some controversy that British Model/Boxer Dudley O'Shaughnessy is a Chris Brown Look-A-Like.  One of the car scenes in the video sort of reminded viewers of that night, you know what happen.  But I don't care the video is BRILLIANT. Don't Believe Me. See for yourself.

Black Girls Certainly Rock

This past Saturday I had the honor of being present for the 2011 Bet Black Girls Rock show.
Skipping to the point, the show was amazing. Hosts Tracee Ellis Ross & Regina King were amazingly beautiful & wore some pretty HOTT outfits.

She is definitely her mother's child! :)

From the All Girl Band to Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Mary Mary, Melanie Fiona, Elle Varner, MJB to Estelle, I was entertained all night. Performances were dope. With a few "do-overs" from Elle Varner falling on stage & getting a second chance she rocked it. She ended her performance telling the crowd "Second times the charm" cute girl.

Estelle's dress though! LOVES it.

2nd times the charm! "I only wanna give it to youuuuuuu!"

Loves Melanie Fiona!  & her outfit is dope  love the top!

Honorees included Tatyana Ali, Shirley Caesar, Angela Davis, Taraji P. Henson, Laurel Richie, Imani Walker and her business partner Malike Saada Saar. These women looked extraordinary and I was very honored to be in the same room with Angela Davis :)

Other celebs in attendance included Laurie Ann Gibson, Lil Mama, Lala Anthony, Tischina Arnold & many many more.

Mary Mary & LaLa. Taisha & I sat behind them. Hey Taisha!! ;)

Thank You Beverly Bond for Black Girls Rock.

Shouts to @Leahjanell ;)
Don't forget to tune in to BET November 6th at 8pm to catch Black Girls Rock!

"More Pink For Your Green"

This slogan caught my eye at the Breast Cancer walk yesterday morning.  It was a great walk & I'm more than proud of myself for raising awareness to kids my age to go out & do something else besides sit at home on the computer.

Us ( Team Dowere-Berry)

I was very thrilled to see even a lot of men walking for their moms and sisters. Shouts to everyone who walked for a cause.

The Finish Line....

Countdown

Damn, I think I love that boy , Do anything for that boy. Oh how this song has been my theme song since June 28th, 2011. It's not new that I love Beyonce. EVERYONE knows this, so when I heard from my bestfriend Ashlee, that Countdown was premiering tonight, I rushed home after class & hit up www.beyonceonline.com & there it was, the video that made my night. Beyonce is truly an inspiring artist & the mommy-to-be singer, never disappoints me. And I mean NEVER. So check out the new video below (:

4 AM

Melanie Fiona's new song "4AM" has been playing repeatedly on my iPod & trust me I'm not complaining . I love this song, it's even on my tumblr . Looking forward to hearing all Melanie Fiona's new stuff.

COLLEGE

College is quite overwhelming. I haven't had much time for myself. I'm always working or at school or taking car of business at home.
What I really want is some "ME" time, & also some quality time with my boyfriend, miss him much.

But back to college. The work I can handle, & class discussions are interesting. There's only one class I wish I had dropped. MACRO ECONOMICS. This class is just NOT for me & every time I hear my professor speak it's like BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH. Nothing I can do about it now. I sort of have to suck it up & still get the work done. *SIGH* Wish me luck guys. I'll keep you posted on how my progress goes in that class.

xoxo.

Next Step : COLLEGE

So the next part in my "adult" life is college.
I've been out of school for almost a year & really have procrastinated with going to school. To make a long story short, I decided to take a year off & work & tomorrow I will be an official Freshman at St. Francis College in Brooklyn Heights.
Excited? Not really. Nervous? Oh yeah. I have not stepped foot in a classroom since the '09-'10 school year of High School & I really don't know what to expect.
*SIGHS*
Well Gonna Prepare For Tomorrow, Goodnight & Wish Me LUCK!

My thoughts..

What does it mean to be "18"?
These past 5 months I've been handling some adult responsibilities, but not quite getting the respect a young adult begins to get from their parents.
When do your parents start giving you the respect you always hoped for?
I'm not sure & that's really affecting my mood.
I'm a very respectable girl who obeys her parents, but is it time to demand respect? Hm, not sure if I should or if it's too early? I am usually one to just wait it out. I can't stand the thought of my mother being upset with me.
Yikes, what's an 18 year old to do?

The Big 1-8

18. To me it simply meant "I was grown". I thought that after turning 18 life would become so simple & things would come to me easy. How wrong I was. Actually, life got harder & I had way more responsibilities than I had at just 17 years old. However, my 18th birthday was amazing. I headed out to the city with 2 of my bestfriends, my cousin, and my boyfriend. We had dinner at Bubba Gump, a "Forrest Gump" themed restaurant, and let's just say from the picture below, we had a very interesting time.
More importantly, I didn't learn how hard life was until recently, I'd say about a month ago, when my summer job was over & I had a cell phone bill to pay & a metro card to buy & no food in the fridge. I thought it was the end of the world, but it wasn't it was the beginning of my life & it was up to me to decide in which direction my life would go !
